About Dr. JD Butcher

Alpha Omega Ministry is founded on a lifetime of dedication to faith, education, and service through the leadership of  JD and his wife, Dixie K. Butcher.

Born in East Texas in 1938, JD has led a remarkable life shaped by military service, education, and ministry. He began his journey of service in 1958 when he joined the U.S. Army, specializing in Field Radio Repair, with assignments both in the United States and Germany. Following his military career, he served within the Texas Criminal Justice system while pursuing a lifelong commitment to education.

His academic journey spans over six decades (1962–2024) and includes studies at respected institutions such as Sam Houston University, the University of Houston, Texas Bible College, Pentecostal Bible College, and GPS Seminary. His achievements include a Bachelor of Theology, a Master of Theology, and a Doctor of Divinity. He has also contributed as a teacher at Texas Bible College and Pentecostal Bible Institute and has trained professionals in the life insurance industry. Though once licensed in both insurance and real estate, JD has dedicated himself fully to ministry in his later years, focusing his time and energy on teaching, mentoring, and sharing the Gospel.

His ministry has reached across Texas, Mississippi, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and internationally in Canada and Jerusalem. Throughout his life, JD has remained steadfast in his calling, committed to sharing God’s Word and guiding others in their faith.

JD was married to Juanice from 1958 until her passing in 2015. Together they raised four children: Christine, Kimberly, Michael, and LeAnn. In 2016, he married Dixie, a devoted servant of the Lord with her own rich history of ministry.

Together, JD and Dixie have continued to serve faithfully in ministry. They co-teach Bible classes at their local assembly and collaborate on creating Bible lessons, many of which are shared through their website, AOMinistry.net.

About Dixie K. Butcher

Dixie Karen Butcher was raised in West Monroe, Louisiana, by her Pentecostal parents, Reverend R.C. Craft and Mrs. Jean Craft. At the age of nineteen, she married Reverend William “Wild Bill” Davis. Together, they dedicated their lives to ministry, traveling across the United States to evangelize and pastor, all while raising their two children, Sam and Pam.

For over a decade, Dixie and her husband were close friends with my wife, Juanice, and me. In 2013, Reverend Davis passed away at the church they pastored in Waco, Texas. Dixie continued to lead the church until early 2014, when she handed over the leadership to a new pastor and relocated to the Dallas area. There, she began attending the same church as my family and me.

Following the passing of my wife in 2015, Dixie and I grew closer. After attending several events together, our friendship deepened, and we were married in 2016.

Since then, Dixie has faithfully supported me in ministry. Together, we teach a class at our local assembly and collaborate on developing the Bible Lessons featured on our website, AOMinistry.net.

OUR TEAM BUILDS HOPE.
